Deconstructing the Binary: Two-Spirits, gender, and sexuality, Nov 10

Coordinated by the America Indian Student Union and Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy office.

How do we construct sexuality and gender expressions? Typically, we understand sexuality and gender as binaries, that is, gay and straight or man and woman. This workshop will use an interactive approach to deconstruct and reconstruct our understanding of the sexual paradigm utilizing the Native American Indian concept of “two spirits” as a catalyst for critical examination of sexuality and gender.  Click here for the facebook event!

When: Thursday, November 10 · 6:00pm – 7:30pm
