As part of the University of Maryland’s Can-Paign efforts, the Muslims Student Association, Sisterhood of Unity and Love, The Love Movement, MaryPIRG, Hillel, and Community Roots have come together to create a free screening of the documentary “Silent Killer: The Unfinished Campaign Against Hunger.”
Please join us for a night of awareness of the current epidemic of world hunger. Admission is free, however there is a suggested donation of one or more of the following items:
Canned foods (non-pork products), Rice, Beans, Sugar, Powder milk, Dry Fruits, Honey, Cereal, Dates, Tea Bags, Energy Bars, Granola Bars, Dry Fruits, Diapers, Women’s Hygiene Products, Sanitation Products, Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Baby Formula Milk – NO LIQUIDS PLEASE
All the items collected from this event will be distributed at the Dadaab refugee camp on the Kenyan-Somali border. The camp currently holds 400,000 refugees with numbers growing daily.
